Amazing First Week at Bright Horizon Summer Camp!

We kicked off our summer camp with a week full of creativity, culture, and excitement! From hands-on learning to memorable stories and a fun-filled field trip, our campers had an unforgettable time exploring new ideas and making new friends.

Discovering Chinese Intangible Culture

In our Chinese Intangible Culture class, students dove into the rich traditions of Chinese folk arts. They explored cloisonné enamel (掐丝珐琅), crafted fragrant scented sachets (香包), and experimented with fabric dyeing (染布). Beyond the hands-on fun, students also learned about the cultural significance and history behind each art form. It was inspiring to watch their curiosity bloom and their artistic creations come to life!

Journey into Fairy Tales

Our campers also stepped into the magical world of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. Each day, students listened to classic stories like The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, Thumbelina, and The Little Match Girl. The tales sparked deep imagination and led to some truly adorable and creative crafts. The students were completely immersed—and had so much fun connecting stories with hands-on projects!

Field Trip Fun at Safari Run

To top off our week, we took a field trip to Safari Run, where the kids had a blast climbing, crawling, and exploring in a safe and energetic environment. It was the perfect way to let loose and build teamwork outside the classroom.
