Clay, Code & Curiodyssey: A Wonder-Filled Week 4!

This week at camp was packed with creativity, discovery, and hands-on fun! Our young learners explored two exciting workshop themes — Air-Dry Clay Movie Characters and UI Design — and even went on a field trip to Curiodyssey, where science came to life and curious creatures stole the show.

Summer Camp Week 2

Campers kicked off the week by sculpting their favorite movie characters — with a cultural twist! Using ultra-light modeling clay, they reimagined popular animated figures Tang Sanzang and his disciples from the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West.

Guided by our experienced instructors, students learned clay modeling techniques, color mixing, and fine-detail crafting. Each masterpiece is currently drying in the classroom and will be ready to take home soon!

This East-meets-West art project encouraged storytelling, boosted creativity, and helped campers strengthen their fine motor skills — all while having a blast.

Summer Camp Week 2

In our tech workshop, young designers got a beginner-friendly introduction to User Interface (UI) Design — the building blocks behind the websites and apps they use every day.

Younger campers started with paper sketches to map out basic shapes and layout ideas. With step-by-step help from our instructors, they then brought their designs to real digital tools. Elder campers learned about layout, color theory, and user experience principles.

Summer Camp Week 2

The highlight of the week? A field trip to Curiodyssey, where campers explored interactive science exhibits and met real live animals up close!

From curious raccoons to sleepy owls, the kids were fascinated by the wildlife and had a great time learning about habitats, adaptations, and ecosystems. It was a perfect day filled with discovery, laughter, and hands-on exploration of the natural world.
