Chinese Flavors, Redstone Magic & a Splash to Remember

Week 8 at our summer camp — the final week of the BHCS Summer Camp — brought together hands-on cooking, tech creativity, and splash-filled summer fun!

Our young chefs explored the art of making traditional Chinese pastries, from kneading dough to shaping beautiful treats. They learned how different ingredients and techniques come together to create the rich flavors and unique textures of beloved Chinese delicacies.

More than just cooking, it was a lesson in patience, precision, and the joy of sharing food with friends. The kitchen was alive with delicious aromas and happy chatter

The best part? Everyone got to enjoy the delicious results of their hard work!

Summer Camp Week 8

Meanwhile, our tech enthusiasts dove deep into the fascinating world of Minecraft Redstone engineering. Campers designed and built everything from hidden doors and booby traps to automated farms and interactive dungeons.

Along the way, they discovered how Redstone mimics real-world circuits, switches, and automation. Whether they were budding Redstone experts or just starting out, everyone left with new skills — and epic builds to show off.

As the last week of camp came to a close, we couldn’t help but feel proud of everything our campers achieved this summer — from mastering a new recipe to engineering complex Redstone creations. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this unforgettable season. Until next summer, keep learning, creating, and, of course, having fun!

Summer Camp Week 8

Thursday was all about water, laughter, and pure summer fun as we headed to Aqua Adventure Water Park in Fremont. The moment we arrived, campers were off to explore—some making a beeline for the towering slides, others drifting into the lazy river for a calmer ride. The splash zones were a hit with our younger campers, who darted between fountains and sprays without a care in the world. Older campers pushed their limits on the fastest slides, racing friends and riding the waves in the pool. By the end of the day, everyone was happily soaked, a little sun-kissed, and full of stories to share. It was the kind of trip that left us tired in the best way possible and grinning all the way home.
